DPS Roundtable

8/17/2009

The system held a seminar today to discuss improving school safety. My TV 20's Jorge Avellan was there.

To help Detroit Public Schools parents ease that concern, today, the districts financial manager held a safety seminar at Cass Tech High.

Robert Bobb invited Mayor Dave Bing to be part of the safety improvement discussion.

Wayne county prosecutor Kym Worthy, who also participated in the seminar, told DPS officials the district needs to start reporting every single crime incident that occurs on school grounds.

The city's police department plans to increase their school patrols at the begining of the new academic year.
