DPS Open Houses

During the last couple of years, Detroit Public Schools student enrollment has dropped to less than ninety thousand.

It now hopes to gain more students by having open houses.

From now until the end of the year, the district will host open houses at various schools to inform parents about DPS.

Parents will be able to tour schools, meet with administrators and learn about DPS’s curriculums.

The district goal is to show parents that DPS could be the school for your child.

(An excellent opportunity for parents again to have access to principals, teachers. Be able to see teachers teach a lesson and learn about the individual things that go on at every school. For instance, what clubs are available, what music programs are available, what sporting things are available)
