Thornton NOt Guilty

Today, a Detroit Public Schools board member dogged a ninety day jail sentence. Marie Thornton was found not guilty of Assault and Battery, and Disorderly-Jostling.

She went before a 36th District Court judge this morning after she was accused of assaulting Reverend Loyce Lester back in 2007 after a school board meeting.

Thornton has been part of the board since 2006.
