The Merling Trio, a distinguished chamber music ensemble which ade its New York debut at Carnegie Hall in 1993, will appear at OCC's Orchard Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills.

Several contemporary composers have written works for the group. In 1993 it premiered C. Curtis Smith's second Piano Concerto, and in 1998 it returned to Carnegie Hall for a sold out performance of a new work by New York composer Terry Winter-Owens.
