Event Description
Just as there are rules and regulations for cars, there are marine traffic laws that boats have to follow. Simply put, these are rules and regulations that every boater is expected to follow in order to avoid disputes and colliding with other boats.
Just as motorists must know what to do when approaching a four way stop, every crossing situation at sea is like approaching an unmarked intersection. The good news is that there are rules to govern the action of each vessel. The bad news is that many vessel operators do not know the rules. Ted Everingham makes it easy with his practical and entertaining program as we get familiar with “The Rules” so that we can go out and use them in passing, meeting, and crossing situations you find on the water. .
Members of the DRYA clubs will be on hand to discuss their club membership and their racing and sailing instruction programs.
