Event Description
Returning to has native Detroit roots, composer and trumpeter Kris Johnson will be in town for 2 Nights Only performing the world première of his new piece, “Un Voyage dans les Rêves: A Journey Through a Dream.” Presented by the Arts League of Michigan, admission is free.
“A Journey Through a Dream” is a musical illustration of the various realties we experience while asleep. Enchanting the listener through one night of sleep, this work stunningly brings to life the alternate worlds and possibilities that comprise a dream.
“A Journey Through a Dream” will be performed by a Jazz Quartet and a String Quartet. This concert will premiere at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts. An encore presentation will be held on Friday August 1st at 11:30AM at Campus Martius in Downtown Detroit.
