NBA Talks Break Down, Start of Season in Jeopardy

Talks between NBA owners and players in New York broke down on Tuesday, and the start of the regular season is now in jeopardy, according to a story on NBA.com.

NBA commissioner David Stern said the rest of the preseason schedule would be canceled and that by Monday the league "will have no choice but to cancel the first two weeks of the season," according to the report.

No new meetings between the sides are currently planned, according to the story. The NBA season is scheduled to begin on Nov. 1
