In a news release issued Friday evening, Fox announced that is has renewed the hit animated show The Simpsons for two more years beyond this season.
In the words of Homer Simpson, "Woo Hoo! I outlasted Andy Rooney!" the news release says.
There had been some doubt about whether the longest-running scripted show in TV history would continue after its upcoming 23rd season due to a salary dispute between Fox and the six actors who voice most of the characters. But the two sides were able to come to an agreement.
