Former NASCAR Driver Arrested on Drug Charges

According to a story in the Statesville (N.C.) Record & Landmark, former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield was arrested Tuesday on drug possession charges after authorities served a search warrant on his North Carolina home.

Mayfield was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, according to the Record & Landmark report. Mayfield, 42, was suspended by NASCAR in 2009 after a positive drug test, according to the story.
