BEDFORD, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- A former Monroe County resident could soon be convicted of a murder police say he committed forty years ago.
Laurence Lamont, who is currently in prison for forgery in a different case, is accused of killing sixty-eight year old Earl Ludlow back in 1972 during a robbery.
Laurence and another man were convicted of kidnapping Ludlow back in 1972 but never got a murder conviction.
The case was reopened after one of Ludlow's granddaughter's requested it.
Our Jorge Avellan spoke with prosecutors about the case and will have this story tonight on My TV 20 News at Ten.
