CANTON TWP., MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Roughly 40,000 cars and trucks pass through the intersection of Ford and Haggerty Roads every day.
It's busy, and also dangerous.
The intersection tops the list for the most likely intersection around metro Detroit where a crash will take place.
The South East Michigan Council of Governments, or SEMCOG, studied intersections around the region.
The Ford-Haggerty Road area had 335 crashes over a five year period.
That's 67 a year.
The intersection is heavily lined with such things as retail stores, restaurants, and strip.
It's also next to the Ford-I 275 interchange.
MDOT is studying ways to improve traffic safety in the area.
