DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Mike Duggan is not done with politics.
The former head of DOC announced Friday morning he is back in the race for Detroit mayor. Duggan will run as a write in candidate.
The decision to run came one week after he dropped out of the contest when the Court of Appeals denied his request to be placed back on the ballot.
A Wayne County judge removed Duggan when he violated the city charter when he filed his petitions too early.
Duggan does not have to win the August primary.
Finishing second will put his name on the November ballot.
