GM, Chrysler 's Post Strong August Sales

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- GM says its U.S. sales jumped 10.1% in August. Chrysler's sales were up 14.1% in August.

GM says Chevy passenger car sales led the way - up 25%, while truck sales declined. Overall, the four GM divisions - Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC posted strong August showings.

Chrysler says its Ram trucks led the way for the company in August sales, at a time when GM's truck sales were down.
