DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) -- The new attorney for Bob Bashara, the man whose wife was murdered, went before the media this morning to introduce himself... as the man who told police that he was paid to commit the murder was released.
David Griems, the new attorney for Bashara, held a lengthy press conference this morning in downtown Detroit regarding the Jane Bashara murder case.
Griems hit on many points, including whether his client could be involved in Jane Bashara's murder, opinions of alleged suspect Joe Gentz and he discussed how he thinks Jane Bashara was murdered.
The woman was found dead in her SUV on January 25th, her autopsy proved she died from strangulation and a crushed windpipe.
Jane's husband, Bob, has been described by Detroit police as a "person of interest" in the case. Police have administered two polygraph tests. An acquaintance of Bashara, Joe Gentz, has gone to police and said he killed Jane as a contract murder for hire with Bob Bashara. However, today Gentz was released without charges.
