DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- A national campaign to free a captured Idaho soldier is gaining visibility and traction here in southeast Michigan.
Billboards have gone up around town for Sgt. Bowe Robert Bergdahl, who was captured by Afghan insurgents on June 30th of 2009.
Supporters of the campaign to free Bergdahl want him not to be forgotten - by raising money in order to buy even more billboards around the country.
His family says the donations will be used to share Berdahl's personal story -- and to keep the pressure on government to free him.
