DETROIT, Mich. (My TV20 News at 10) --- A local student has found out tonight, she will have a front row seat to this year's Detroit's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Organizers unveiled the parade's newest float this morning at the Parade Studio. It's called the "Community Garden."
Lesly Nunez designed it as part of the annual Skillman Foundation contest. The 7th grader at Clippert Academy told My TV20 News at 10 she did not have to look far for inspiration, crediting her father who used to create gardens.
Lesly will ride on the "Community Garden" when it rolls down Woodward Avenue Thanksgiving Day.
