SALEM TOWNSHIP, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- The investigation continues as Michigan State Police shot and killed a man after a two-county chase early Tuesday morning.
It ended when the unidentified man crashed his pick up truck into a house at the intersection of Six Mile and Dixboro Roads in Salem Township.
Troopers claim they shot him after he approached them with a knife.
It all started around 2 a.m. as troopers investigated a string of nearby arsons in Northville Township.
Troopers stopped the man, and questioned him regarding the fires.
That's when they got a report a car may have been firebombed.
Troopers claim the man fired at them before he fled.
He crashed into the house after he lost control of his pick-up truck on some ice.
