Reward Offered in Theft of U-of-M Statue

June 2, 2011

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (My TV20 News at 10) --- It's not particularly valuable from a monetary standpoint, but its sentimental value is priceless, and the folks at the Aerospace Department at the University of Michigan College of Engineering want it back.

The department's beloved armillary, or sundial, was stolen in April from its home in the Wave Field, an earth and grass sculpture, on North Campus outside the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Building, home of the Aerospace Department.

Now U-M's Department of Public Safety is offering a $200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever took it.
