DEXTER, Mi (My TV 20 News at 10) --- Clean-up has begun after a tornado damaged about 100 homes in the town of Dexter, near Ann Arbor.

And early warning notifications and sirens are being credited for sparing lives in what surely would have had a more deveasting outcome without them. Instead, only buildings and cars were damaged and no one died.

The slow-moving storm dumped torrential rain and hail on Washtenaw County, and moved on into Monroe County, where there may have been more tornadoes.

More on the aftermath and clean-up from reporter Kila Peeples tonight on TV 20 News at 10.
