HIGHLAND PARK, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Water continues flowing around the city, but, it does not come from Highland Park.

The city now gets its water from Detroit.

It's part of a temporary agreement while Highland Park decides how to pay for improvements to its Water Treatment Plant.

Mayor DeAndre Windom announced the deal Monday morning, and explained his decision to shutdown the plant.

Plus, Windom unveiled a new advisory board to discuss how to raise the money for the repairs, and how to run the plant.

City, county, and state representatives make up the board.

The mayor did not say how much is needed to repair the plant, but, several reports estimate the amount to be at least $10 million.

Windom also did not say how the shutdown of the plant will affect Highland Park financially.
