BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW.com ) Everyone is Irish at the Buffalo Saint Patrick's Day parade!
Officials say good weather brought over 100,000 people Sunday into downtown Buffalo to watch the annual march up Delaware Avenue.
Floats, bands, marching units, Irish dancers, politicians, puppies, and personalities all came together to celebrate Irish American heritage.
Channel 7's Keith Radford from Eyewitness News at 5, 6, and 11 joined weekend weather anchor and reporter Jennifer Stanonis and Multi-Media Journalist Ed Reilly in the march. Multi-Media Journalist Jason Gruenauer joined the parade for awhile while he taped it for television. Check out his story too! The Channel 7 entry also included a decorated LIVE truck and others from the WKBW family.
It doesn't matter whether you come from the traditional South Buffalo area, Irish American heritage has a strong history throughout Western New York. You can find out more at a local website called www.buffaloha.com. The link to that site so you can find out about Irish American history in Buffalo is easy. Go to "news links" at the top of the wkbw.com homepage.
Meantime, enjoy the photos from the 2011 Saint Patrick's Day Parade.
