Where:
Charles H. Wright Museum GM Theater - Detroit

Now in its second year, the PANDA (Pan-African Nurturing Developing Association) game is an academic competition that combines history and entertainment. Each game focuses on a topic and covers other historically significant events or people that were either happening at the time or had a direct relationship to the game topic. This year's topic is the Underground Railroad and Anti-Slavery Movement. The five rounds are as follows:

Round 1 – Famous People of African and African-American Origins
Round 2 – All Things…
Round 3 – Speed Round
Round 4 – Geography
Round 5 – Blank Blank, the blank

Four schools are participating in the game day: Detroit School of Arts, Peterson-Warren Academy, Inkster High School, and Pioneer High School.

This event is FREE and open to the public. A continental breakfast will be served at 8 am in the museum's multi-purpose room, followed by the competition in the GM Theater.

The PANDA games are made possible by the generous support of the DTE Energy Foundation.
