MIA: Jobs the play

Free Flow Poetry & Theatre Company is sponsoring a play project on www.kickstarter.com. The site helps bring attention to creative projects and those backing the project to help get funding.

MIA: Jobs is a socially conscious play that deals with the struggle of finding a job and other challenges that comes with it. Although the setting is a military base and military terms are used it is quite clear what the play is about.

MIA: Jobs came about from from thinking about current economic situations and how the job market has been lately. She couldn't help but think wow it's like a war zone out there. There you have it MIA: Jobs. With the play the playwright hopes to send a message of needed change, and to touch a few hearts in the process.

The purpose for doing this project is to hightlight current situations as well as bring more attention to the Detroit, Michigan art community.
