CONCORD, MI – Outdoor fanatics and runners are invited to take part in the Wild Life Marathon, Half-marathon Run/Walk, 5k Run/Walk, and Kids’ Wild Dash 1-mile event staged in the most beautiful spot in Michigan! The race will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2011, beginning at Concord High School. The purpose of this annual event is to raise funds to help maintain the Falling Waters Trail and to support local community and county park improvements to the trail.
All routes will have runners and walkers enjoying village streets and the Falling Waters Trail. This marathon is certified by the USATF, so finishing times can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
Awards are given to overall event winners - first 3 in each age group for the marathon, half-marathon run/walk, and 5K run/walk, including Masters in all events. All participants in the Kids’ Wild Dash will receive an award.
