Dominique Murdock Detroit School of the Arts is the recipient of $500.000.00 in scholarships, including the Bill Gates scholarship which pays for her total college education all the way through her phd. Only 1000 students nationwide received this scholarship. There were 127 students at DSA receiving various scholarships totaling over $ 2 million dollars.
Contrary to many peoples belief, the Detroit Public School system still has many bright and talented students. And as aproud grandparent I would like to recognize and acknowledge their achievements. Way to go 2008 grads!!!!!!!!!!
