My fiance and I took a mini-vacation at the Silver Lake sand dunes. This was the first time we had visited sand dunes as a couple, so we made sure to bring our dog along. Mattie, our Shetland Sheepdog, has never seen so much sand. After sniffing and sneezing like crazy, we took to scale the dunes. She climbed like a mountain goat going side to side. But she really enjoyed taking flight on her way down the steep slope of sand. We laughed a lot that day, making new memories. Especially when she was frantically searching and sniffing for grass to do her business on. (btw- She held it until we left the dunes.) Looking back at the pictures we took guaranteed the idea of going to Silver Lake again for a bigger vacation.
