While many will be down at Joe Louis watching a handful of competitors display their dance skills, the hottest dancing will be happening just a few miles away at the YA Salsa Social. Hundereds of salseros will be gathered for what just may be the biggest night of salsa dancing ever in Detroit. A star studded evening in its own right the night will open with a salsa performance and the Cuban sounds of Grupo Escobar. The evening will feature performances from many of the best known performers in Salsa and there will be social dancing until the wee hours of the night. Long celebrated for the family like feel and welcoming auroa of their salsa socials, YA Salsa is an all volunteer group of salsa dancers who work to promote salsa in the Detroit Metro area.
