The Committee to Elect Tamika Louise Gaines for Detroit City Council is sponsoring a Neighborhood Cleanup, this Saturday June 27, from 12 noon- 9 p.m. The boundaries of the project will be a complete square starting at Wyoming to Livernois and ending at Fenkell to Schoolcraft.
This is the second in a series of cleanups that Candidate Gaines has planned for this summer. “Neighborhood cleanliness is a major concern for our community”, says Gaines. She urges all candidates to, “pull up your sleeves and clean up the city of Detroit”.
Supporters and volunteers are needed to join in the clean up initiative. “Come when you can with a broom, rake or shovel in hand”, says Gaines. The central location headquarters of this project will be located at 14873 Ohio Detroit, MI 48238. Food, beverages, and activities will be available for participants and their children.
