Oak Park, MI –November 7, 2009- In celebration and support of National Inspirational Role Models Month (NIRMM), House of Communications proudly presents NIRMM Salute II on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2pm. This free event will be held at the Oak Park Library located at 14200 Oak Park Blvd in Oak Park, MI 48237.

NIRMM is an annual November celebration that originated in 2005 by Detroit native and House of Communications owner Darlene House. The purpose of NIRMM is to acknowledge the impact that contemporary and historical role models have on our lives. The 2009 NIRMM Theme is “Acknowledging Past Achievements While Gaining Inspiration for Future Accomplishments’. The 2009 NIRMM Spotlight concept is the Ultimate Historic Role Model Ida B. Wells Barnett.

Come celebrate with contemporary role models as House of Communications owner, Darlene House kicks off her new book, REMARKABLE REPRINTS REVISITED: A Collection of Acclaimed Articles and Crowd Pleasing Columns. This collection features some of the greatest hits from a talented writer serving as proof that good news and positive stories are still being published in newspapers and magazines widely distributed and read throughout the world. This will be a Signature Book Event Series Kick off . A Special Book Sale and Signing Presentation with Darlene House, Author of REMARKABLE REPRINTS REVISITED, will be featured.

Highlights of NIRMM Salute II will also include special guest, Acclaimed Artist Jarita R. Halliburton, of EENER COLLECTIONS-“Art from the Heart”. Jarita will share theme based inspiring words. Her original art creations will be on display and available for purchase at the event.

Join the fun as we celebrate the impact that historical and contemporary role models have had on our lives. This year’s event promises to inspire the creativity and purpose in your life. There will be fun, games, giveaways and prizes. Light refreshments will be served.

NIRMM Salute II is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Oak Park Library. The first 50 people to R.S.V.P by calling 313-778-1550 will receive a free gift bag. Admission is free.
