The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a 26-year-old man from Pontiac was shot and killed inside of his Chevy Equinox early Friday.
The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. one block away from the Newman Court apartment complex in Pontiac.
Police say the victim, who was not a resident of the apartment complex, was shot while he was driving and tried to flee. He then collided with two vehicles.
A nearby apartment was reportedly struck by a bullet going through the wall into another nearby apartment. There were no injuries at either apartment.
Police say they are still investigating.
