The search continues tonight for a fourth person wanted in connection with a series of attacks this month around Pontiac. Meanwhile, three juveniles remain in custody, accused of killing one of the victims.

Flies and other insects are basically the only signs of life in this Pontiac Alley. The alley located between Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital Day Care, and The Crofoot is where Wilford Hamilton lost his life.

Police tell My TV 20 three teens attacked and killed the homeless man known as "Frenchie" August 21. The three are said to have attacked another homeless man the next night. He reamins hospitalized. That's not all.

Police tell me a 52-year old was attacked and robbed by up to five juveniles late Saturday Night here in the 100 block of West Pike last Saturday Night. It doesn't end there. A 33 year old man was attacked as he walked downtown 30 minutes later.

Police are holding three of the juveniles in connection with the death of "Frenchie" Hamilton. Two of them are 14 years old, the other is 15.

Sgt. Kevin Braddock
"It's frightening and disturbing to hear how young they are."

Sgt. Kevin Braddock is a 13 year veteran of the Pontiac Police Department. He tells us this is the worst case of random violence he has ever seen.

Sgt. Kevin Braddock
"There was a lot of trauma to everyone's head and facial areas, they targeted that, and significant damage came out of it."

My TV 20 is told one victim suffered six broken ribs, but, more importantly, "Frenchie" Hamilton lost his life.

We're told the suspects being held have confessed to the first attack. Authorities have not released the names of the suspects. They are considering charging them as adults.

"Frenchie" Hamilton is the 15th person murderd in Pontiac this year. There were 17 killings in the city last year. Voters may soon decide if they want to spend more to make their streets safer.

Police want a slight millage increase to allow up to 15 officers to be re-hired. The money would also open three community centers. Oakland County Elections Supervisors, the Attorney General, and the Governor must approve the proposal before it appears on the November ballot.
