Mother Nature is being blamed tonight for destroying a local landmark. Firefighters battled a blaze this morning at the historic Lathrup Village Mansion. It was nearly 100 years old. Firefighters say Lightning sparked the fire that destroyed the mansion. The mansion is owned by the family of Louise Lathrup. She's a real estate developer for which the city is named.

Three people lived inside the home. They were not hurt.
