DETROIT (MyTV 20) - The Flint teenager charged with carjacking and murder is competent to stand trial. That's the word from a Macomb County Judge.
The judge ruled Ihab Maslamani can be tried on charges stemming from an attempted carjacking at a Roseville Wal-Mart in August. The 17-year-old returns to court November 9th.
He's also awaiting trial for bank robbery charges in Clinton Township, and the August 9th carjacking and murder of Matthew Landry in Eastpointe.
Police found Landry's body in an abandoned home on Detroit's northeast side with a single gunshot wound to the head.
