After a shortage of the season flu shot, Oakland county will once again be providing the vaccine to it’s residents. The county has received four thousand additional doses of the flu shot.

It will hold a vaccination clinic tomorrow through this Friday from nine AM to five PM at the count’s health department. Health officials expect the vaccines to run out quickly.

GEORGE MILLER
HEALTH DIRECTOR OF OAKLAND COUNTY
"My guess is that it will take us a couple of weeks to get more doses in, so yes, with that and the fact that we’re hoping to get our hands on the H1N1 shots relatively soon that we’ll probably have to suspend season flu either because we’ve ran out or because we’ve moved on to H1N1 for a while."

Oakland County’s health department is located at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Pontiac, building 34 east.

The shots are ten dollar each.
