The future of electric cars continues Wednesday in Detroit. Former New York Governor George Pataki was this morning's featured speaker
during the opening session of the "Business of Plugging In Conference." More than 600 people are at the Motor City Casino learning about what it will take to make electrical cars practical to consumers. Organizers tell us it's a little easier than most of us think.

"There's been so many great thing said about the Volt, other technologies that are just around the corner, coming out in 2011. The challenge is making these vehicles cost effective with today's technology and done in a way consumers find seemless to what we're looking at right now."

Former presidential candidate retired General Wesley Clark is Wednesday's main speaker. Governor Jennifer Granholm and Ford Chairman Bill Ford, Junior are also scheduled to appear at the conference.
