Redford To Become New Home For SEIU

Things continue looking up for Redford Township. Last week we told how plans are moving forward to open a Mercedes Benz Research and Development Center in town. Now comes word Redford will become home for the international headquarters of the Service Employees International Union.

TRACY SCHULTZ-KOBYLARZ\SUPERVISOR, REDFORD TOWNSHIP
"With that will come 200 new jobs, and those jobs are also very well
compensated, occupy a building that has been unoccupied for several years, and it's a wonderful opportunity for us to show our desire to attract new businesses."

No word when the new office will open for business. Meanwhile, plans are in the works to move a company from Texas to Redford Township.
