Angel's Night Gasoline Restrictions

As part of Angels Night, the city is also temporarily enforcing restrictions on gasoline purchases. From now until October 31st, residents in Detroit will not be able to purchase gasoline in containers.

Gas station attendants will make exceptions for drivers who have emergencies, such as those who run out of gas.

JAMES MACK
FIRE COMMISSIONER
"You can not purchase gasoline in any type of container, unless under emergency situations. And if you do purchase your going to have to provide a valid identification such as a drivers license or a state ID, along with your name, phone number and address on a form to the gasoline attendant."

The fire department plans to have extra firefighters on duty while the Angels Night safety program takes place.
