Detroit Covenant House Spree

Some local children literally have a new look tonight, thanks to the
generosity of new friends. The kids showoff some of their new wardrobe this morning during their shoppring spree at Allen Park's Old Navy Store. The children stay at Detroit's Covenant House, and really don't have the money for new clothes. But, store eomployees provided a a $150 wardrobe makeover to three very grateful kids.

Tyeisha
"Just because people are thinking of us, taking the time out to give us
money to shop is really exciting."

Sheri Panackia
"I think it's a fun day for them, probably something out of the ordinary,
they may not have had the opportunity to do in the past. So, it's great to
give back something to them."

Covenant House houses homeless and at-risk young people from around the area. Kids also get help preparing for the GED exam, job development services and counseling.
