New Terminal Almost Done

The latest phase of the new North Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport is
officially complete tonioght. Crews installed the final four jet bridges this morning on the south end of the building. They will make it easier for 747's and A-300 jumbo jets to park at the terminal.

"Currently what we have to do is use two gates in phase one area that are designed for narrow bodied aircraft, and curently when we have to use two gates for that wide body aircraft, and that takes one gate out of service."

The new gates will be used by Lufthansa and Royal Jordanian Airlines.
