Some volunteers are waging a battle against Mother Nature tonight and time. They are racing the clock to help a local soldier wounded in the War in Iraq. My TV 20's Dave Leval shows us how they are giving back to a man who was willing to give up his life for his country. Volunteers pound the boards, while others tote more than that barge along Downing Street in Macomb Townhip. The rain is not stopping them from their mission of building hope, and a home for one of America's finest. Specialist Alex Knapp lost both of his legs to a roadside bomb in Iraq in March 2008. SPC David "Alex" Knapp The house is being built free of charge to help Alex overcome the obstacles he's faced since he came home from Iraq. It's the latest call to arms for members of "Homes for Our Troops." Volunteers build homes for severely injured veterans.
