Detroit Municipal Election11/2/2009
Tomorrow, Detroit voters will hit the polls to decide who will be mayor and part of city council for the next four years, among other positions. Today, Detroit’s Department of Elections announced they’re ready for the election. My TV 20’s Jorge Avellan has the story. With less than a day before Detroit’s municipal election, the city’s Department of Elections told reporters this morning all their voting machines are working properly. Daniel Baxter Voters who are unsure of where there polling site is located, will be able to receive assistance at any voting precinct tomorrow. Daniel Baxter Election officials say there prepared to provide ballots to all 572 thousand Detroit registered voters, but expect a low voter turn-out.
