To kick off the Salvations Army Red Kettle Campaign, the general manager of the Detroit’s Red Wings rang the first bell of the season this morning.

Ken Holland, along with Major John Turner from the Salvation Army kicked off the donation campaign by ringing bells at Campus Martius.

From now until Christmas Eve, the red kettles will be located at more than three hundred locations in Metro Detroit to collect donations.

The Detroit Red Wings plan to be active in the campaign.
