They may not be having the best season ever, but, the Detroit Lions are
bringing smiles to the faces of many of their fans tonight.

Dewayne White helped load cars with food and other supplies earlier tonight at Detroit's Family Place Center. The starting defensive end sponsored a "Feed The Children" truck for the second straight year to help the "Children's Aid Society." His donation ensures 400 families will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving. White tells us he does not do it for the publicity, but, he remembers what it was like to be hungry when he was a child.

Dewayne White
Detroit Lions
"It's a great feeling helping other people. It's the best feeling you can
get. To see people smile, knowing kids are going to have something to eat for Thanksgiving."

Valerie Davis
Children's Aid Society
"I couldn't even put it into words, it's a heartfelt thing they're doing,
volunteers aren't getting anything, just here to help."

White tells us he's trying to sponsor another truck for Thanksgiving.
