DETROIT (MyTV 20) - The man believed responsible for killing several members of his family in Florida may be in Michigan.
Police believe that Paul Michael Merhige is the man who opened fire on his relatives Thanksgiving Night in Jupiter, Florida. His twin sisters and an aunt died in the shootings. So did Merhighe's 6-year-old cousin, Makayla Sitton. Two other people wounded in the shootings are recovering from their injuries.
Jupiter, Florida Police told MyTV 20 that Merhige might be looking for a doctor at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. And, Birmingham's Police Chief confirms he was alerted by Jupiter Police last Friday that Merhige could be looking to "get a doctor there." The unidentified doctor treated Merhige several months ago. The doctor has been notified about the situation.
Residents are advised to be on the lookout for a 2007 Toyota Camry with Florida license plate of W42 7JT.
There's a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
