ROYAL OAK, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- This fall and winter homeless people in Metro Detroit will fewer options when it comes to getting free food and shelter.
Churches have traditionally been the backbone of support for the thousands of homeless people in the greater Detroit area. But now, some of the churches across Metro Detroit that usually volunteered to provide the services have either closed or consolidated with another church due to budget issues.
Our Jorge Avellan spoke with homeless people who will be affected by the change. He'll have their story tonight on My TV 20 News at Ten.
