LANSING, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- The Attorney General's Office will lead the prosecution of the so-called "I-96 Corridor Shooter."

That's the word Tuesday morning from Bill Schuette's office.

43-year-old Raulie Casteel, of Wixom, is charged with shootings in Ingham, Livingston, Oakland and Shiawassee Counties.

Prosecutors in Livingston, Ingham, and Shiawassee Counties requested the Attorney General handle the prosecution.

The Oakland County Prosecutor will continue to handle the 60 cases filed in that county.

Michigan State Police arrested Casteel October 17.

Judges in Oakland County and Livingston County each ordered Casteel to undergo two separate competency and criminal responsibility tests to determine whether he is competent to stand trial.
