DETROIT (My TV 20 News at 10) - We're expected to learn Tuesday whether the city of Detroit is eligible for bankruptcy or not.
After months of federal court hearings, a judge is expected to announce his eligibility decision tomorrow morning.
While many financial experts believe the judge will say Detroit is eligible for bankruptcy, a decision on whether retiree pensions will be cut may be postponed until a later date.
If that scenario is what we see tomorrow then the city will officially begin going into bankruptcy but will have to wait on making any pension cuts until allowed by the court.
