DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at Ten) --- Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder today announced what had been speculated for a long time --- that Belle Isle will become a state park over the next 30 years.
Pending approval from city council, a $10 charge will be added for cars to go onto the island and money from the toll will go toward improvements to the islands.
