DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- Mayor Bing says he won't seek re-election and in doing so, took a shot at state leadership.
Bing told reporters at a noon press event at the Charles Wright Museum that he won't be seeking re-election.
He's had enough, and said the state's appointment of an emergency manager had a lot to do with his decision, questioning whether the state was really interested in partnering with local officials and government to fix the city's huge economic problems.
When he came into office, the city's budget was more than $300-million in the red, and the city continues to face huge financial challenges.
