DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- Mayor Dave Bing presented the annual city budget proposal Friday to city council. The one billion dollar budget calls for a four million dollar cut of the councils overall budget.
If the cuts take place, each council member will have to reduce its staff to only one person. Council says it would cause a back log of work.
The mayor also wants to eliminate positions at the police and fire department by not hiring new people for open positions or when employees retire.
